THE SHAPE OF A DAY
This body of work captures a 24-hour journey—each painting a meditation on a specific hour, a quiet echo of time passing. Inspired by the emotional and energetic shifts that unfold across a single day, The Shape of a Day is both personal and universal—an abstract diary of light, rhythm, and inner states.
Using raw canvas, soak-stain underpainting, and intuitive mark-making, I sought to express how time is not only seen, but felt. Some hours arrive soft and expansive like dawn; others feel charged, fragmented, or still.
This collection continues my exploration of 'Sojourn'—temporary stays in emotional landscapes. Here, the "place" I traveled is a single day, capturing each hour as its own world. Each painting an invitation to reflect on your own relationship with time and what each hour holds for you.
